Founded by interior designer Alexandra Childs in 2016 with an intention to create beautiful interiors that have a gentle impact on the environment.

Studio Alexandra is an East London-based interior design studio creating characterful, expressive interiors that feel personal, lived-in, and thoughtfully composed. With a focus on residential and boutique hospitality projects, we blend layered materials, colour, and texture with a considered approach to layout and functionality.

Founded by Alexandra in 2016, the studio was born out of a desire to approach interior design with more connection, more conscience, and more creativity. Drawing on years of experience designing high-end residential and commercial interiors in London and Paris, Ali brings both rigor and intuition to each project—alongside a strong belief that spaces should reflect the lives of those who inhabit them.

Studio Alexandra takes on a limited number of projects at any one time. This allows us to work closely with our clients and maintain a deep involvement throughout every stage of the process—from initial ideas to final installation.

With a background in Art History and a strong respect for architectural context, Ali leads the studio’s creative direction. Her thoughtful, research-led approach ensures every space feels rooted, timeless, and distinctly individual. We are passionate about reuse, reclamation, and responsible sourcing, often working with antiques, vintage finds and bespoke pieces to create interiors with soul and longevity.

Since establishing the studio, we've designed homes and guest accommodations across the UK and Europe—including projects for Coombeshead Farm, Glebe House, and Cottage Orné’s growing portfolio of design-led holiday stays.

We work collaboratively, transparently and with care—designing homes and spaces to be not only beautiful, but built to last and be loved for years to come.
